Truly enjoyed Sudbury, the hotel was little and surprising in the heart of town. The property was set in a very central area really close to the centre of Sudbury in a 16th-century property, a friendly pub with helpful staff and due to the Sat market.

The room was spacious and recently renovated, with all the space needed and amenities like tea making facilities; the location is fantastic, just steps away from the Sudbury Baptist Church. Rewritten: the room is big and has been recently redecorated, offering enough space and even includes tea-making facilities; plus, it's in an amazing location right next to Sudbury Baptist Church.

Sadly, except for the venue there was nothing we liked about this hotel. The room was not particularly comfortable and there was only one bedside lamp. It was very noisy due to the Market. Anyone staying here should ask for a room not overlooking the square. The staff appeared unconcerned with our complaints.
We were disappointed. The room smelt of soot and were told on leaving it was an old building and birds nested in chimney! Our room overlooked the Market Square and the noise from 5.30 was unbelievable as were the lorries and motorbikes during the night. On complaining we were told they could not control the noise but I would have thought we could have been given a room at the back since there appeared to be very few people in the hotel and we would not have known it was Market Day For breakfast we just ordered toast and coffee. The coffee was 'instant' which I do not drink and the toast was served flat on a plate so quickly went soggy. We will not stay here again.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful (thanks!). Great town centre location. Reasonably-priced menu on offer but opportunity also to walk to several decent restaurants close by. Shops on the doorstep.

Central location, big airy rooms wholly unlike the sterile, identical boxes found in purpose-built modern hotels.

Needs a bit of tlc and didn't realise the room wasn't ensuite.....Don't stay on a Wednesday night if you want to sleep later than 05.00am as the Market gets set up outside your window at this time.
